Libertyville native and damn awesome world citizen Tom Morello has signed on as the executive music producer for the Netfilx original film, "Metal Lords." If you were one of those kids into metal while everyone else was into..not metal...this is a project that will connect with you.
In a press release, the movie is described as a “coming-of-age comedy” with a plot synopsis many metalheads can relate to: “Two kids want to start a heavy metal band in a high school where exactly two kids care about heavy metal.”
And to add even more cred to the project, a couple of the people who gave us Game of Thrones are writing and directing this feature-length project.
So if you've got family members who just never understand some of your music tastes, this could be a great learning opportunity. AND a great reason for me to add a month of Netfilx when it hits the streamer later this year.
