A company in Switzerland sent 25 of its employees to the hospital due to a team building exercise that had them walking over hot coals.
What is this, an episode of the office? Of all the team building exercises, you’re gonna start with hot coals?? Scavenger hunt is too milquetoast. But also the fact that 25 people had to go to the hospital is insane. You’d think after the second person seared their skin on, again, HOT COALS, maybe you’d take the hint that this isn’t the brightest idea. The willingness of the employees to put their personal safety at risk for their job takes it from team building to cult building. And when it comes to building cults we recommend you don't do that.
