Effective next month, the US Department of Education is cancelling student loan debt for those who have a total, permanent disability. Yay! However, they still want borrowers to share their earning data with him.
Granted, I'm not a stats person. I'm a radio person. But why do they need to share their earning income if you're erasing their debt? You're either erasing or you're not. But what you don't get to do is see that erasing debt has the mind-boggling effect of allowing people to live full lives where they can actually enjoy themselves, and then decide that's too much and ruin it for other people.
Get out.
At some point we need to stop pretending that 18 year olds have the same brain as 25 year olds and admit that student loans are incredibly predatory, unethical, and straight up crippling to those without economic support.
