Oh Great, Space Hurricanes are Apparently a Thing

Scientists have spotted what they're calling a "space hurricane" hovering over Earth's north pole.

Don't freak out even though this sounds like some 2020-style nonsense that's gonna ruin our lives. Again. It's not! The hurricane took place way back in 2014.

The space hurricane described in the paper measured roughly 600 miles across and rained down charged electrons instead of water for nearly eight hours as it spun counter-clockwise at speeds up to 4,700 miles-per-hour, per the paper.

Before now, researches had only theorized about space hurricanes. This is the first time any sort of imaging has been able to be applied to verifiably prove their existence. Read more and see the images here.
