It's Walt and every Sunday night I get to play you an hour of new rock tunes and I'll tell you... the music is pretty great these days.
On this week's show, I played the first single for the new Green Day album Saviors which is set to enter the Billboard chart at #1! The album is out now and you'll have plenty of time to get familiar with it before they bring their big rock show to Wrigley Field in August! I started the show off with "The American Dream Is Killing Me".
The Black Crowes haven't delivered new music in 15 years. That all changes in 2024. They will release a new album call Happy Bastards on March 15th and hit the road with a stop at the Riviera on April 19th. I played you our first taste of new music with "Wanting and Waiting".
It just so happens that we have new music from another band with black in their name. The Black Keys will drop Ohio Players this spring and have offered a new single called "Beautiful People (Stay High)".
We have a new song at Number 1 on the Rock Chart this week. Staind held it for a week before getting displaced by Shinedown with "A Symptom of Being Human".
Add in new music from Foo Fighters, Judas Priest, Daughtry and Sleep Token, who just sold out 2 nights at the Salt Shed (about 7000 tickets) in seconds. Their album Take Me Back To Eden was my favorite album of 2023! Looks like they will blow up big in 2024!
