Well... after a typically slow holiday season, the proverbial dump truck of new music unloaded on us this week!! All kinds of new tunes on the show this week.
The Black Crowes announced their first album in 15 years. Happy Bastards will drop on March 15th and I played the first single "Wanting and Waiting". Bookend that with new music from The Black Keys who will release Ohio Players, which is an appropriate name for an album since they're from Akron. The first single is out and "Beautiful People (Stay High)" has an old school Beck vibe.
Add in new music from Chicago's Alkaline Trio, a new single from Foo Fighters and something new from Green Day's Saviors album, which is out on Friday. I love everything I've heard so far including the song I played you this week "Dilemma".
Things are only beginning for a new year in rock. I'll play it for you every sunday night at 9 on New Noise!
