I've seen a lot of shows over the years and the final End of the Road show from KISS is one of the very best!
I was a kid and heard the live version of "Rock and Roll All Nite" on the radio and fell in love. I begged my parents to buy me the KISS Alive album and couldn't stop listening. Of course my parents told me that if I wanted any more KISS albums, I would have to buy them myself, which I did. Every single one. And a guitar to learn how to play them all.
So to say the KISS is an important band for me is an understatement. They were my favorite band in the world and made me want to play music!
You can imagine how surprised I was when my band Stabbing Westward were asked to open for KISS on their 96 Reunion tour. I was in heaven.
So to be there for the last human show ever, was important. Thanks to my friend Gus, I was able to be in the room when they said goodbye to the city where it all started. Thanks to Gene, Paul, Ace, Peter, Tommy and Eric for all the music and inspiration.
Here's a video recap of the show!
