Happy Monday!
It's not every day you get a request to play Ted Nugent's "Wango Tango" for a couple of newlyweds. But Tom from Oak Lawn thought it was the perfect song for a shout out to his son and his new bride. And since we're the station that gives away chainsaws every Friday, it seems to make sense... somehow.
I would've thought that since today is the 30th anniversary of Metallica's St. Anger album, someone would request a song from that album. Nope, sticking with the Black album for the 219.
Had a text request from the 773 area code for Smile Empty Soul. I haven't played "Bottom Of The Bottle" in a while so I added that today.
And Bob, the head roadie of Elmhurst joined us yesterday for the Jurassic Junk Dino Derby at Hawthorne Race Course. He ran but couldn't beat out Angelica (aka Kent) but Bob won some points for requesting "Save Yourself" from Stabbing Westward for the Setlist! :)
