What happens 9 months prior to today? So many birthdays happening right now. I was able to acknowledge a couple on The Setlist today!
Danny Carrey of Tool turns 62 today and what better way to celebrate such an incredible drummer than with a Tool song where he gets to cut loose. "Forty Six & 2" on the Setlist today.
And Richard Patrick of Filter has to write 55 for his age for the next year. I'll always love the guitar riff on "Hey Man Nice Shot" and I definitely turned it up in the studio today!
I read this morning that Wolfmather have a big tour planned this year. I was scouring the list for a Chicago date... and sure enough, they'll set up the amps at Thalia Hall on November 29th!. The 630 texted in a request for Woman today! Talk about great riffs!
Michael Anthony from Van Halen and Sammy Hagar and The Circle announced that he is putting together a team to help raise money for the Children's Hospital of L.A. and will be apart of the Walk and Play LA event. Michael's grandson Rex was born with a heart issue and had open heart surgery 7 days after birth. Sadly, Rex passed away in the days following the surgery. So Michael has named his team Rex and the Heartbeaters. They hope to raise $50,000 for the hospital. If you want to help out, visit his Donation page.
