The Setlist - 4.7.23

Happy Friday!! I always love these end of the week Setlists!!

I was reminded a couple of days ago that my band's third album Darkest Days turns 25 today! Wow! That came out of nowhere! Seriously, This record is near and dear to my heart. We all poured so much into making it. We ended up with 16 songs which we all loved, and couldn't cut any of them... so we put them all on the album! Our producer, Dave Jerden asked us to take these songs and put them in an order that told a story. We didn't write the album that way, but we arranged them into 4 acts, taking a journey through all of the emotions one feels after a break up. I think it worked pretty well!

The album went Gold and gave us one of our biggest radio songs, "Save Yourself". Happy Anniversary Darkest Days!

You know I'm cranking up the speakers if we're putting AC/DC's "Whole Lotta Rosie" on the Setlist. Sorry neighbors at WGCI!

Our loyal listener Ken from Oswego sent a text saying his mother passed away on Wednesday. He said her favorite band was Queen and he would love to get them on the Setlist in her honor! Music is great way to deal with loss. I hope this helped Ken and his family! My condolences.

On a happier note, congratulations to Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden who is engaged!! Yay!! Iron Maiden taking part in the Power Trip Festival in the Coachella Valley October 3-6. Your shot to win a trip for all 3 days HERE!

Have a great weekend!

-Walt
