I love Friday because it means we end up with an epic Setlist for the lunch hour! And you did not disappoint today!
Tyler from Mokena got to talk to Bret Michaels this morning and won a pair of tickets to his Party Gras tour coming to Hollywood Casino Amphitheater next summer. Obviously still on a high from that encounter, he texted in and wanted to get "Unskinny Bop" from Poison on the Setlist! We missed a couple of notable events yesterday while we were doing the Lurie Children's Radiothon. (You can still donate, by the way. Visit Lurie Children's.org/radiothon). First of all, it was Corey Taylor from Slipknot's birthday. He turned 49 yesterday. He has one of my favorite voices in rock and it really shows on this song "Bother" from Stone Sour.
It was 18 years ago yesterday, that guitar legend Dimebag Darrell was gunned down on stage during a show in Columbus OH. A day late, but we paid tribute with Pantera on the Setlist! Rest In Peace!
ALso heard from Vince who had a great suggestion for a Friday Setlist and wanted to add Cheap Trick's "Surrender".
