Happy Hump day!
Sad news as I was getting off the air yesterday. Dan McCafferty, singer for the Scottish band Nazareth, has passed away at the age of 76. When I was a kid, I loved the Hair Of the Dog album. So many great guitar riffs (and the cowbell on the title track... c'mon) and Dan had such an amazing voice. I think it was best showcased on their cover of the Everly Brothers song "Love Hurts". I added it to the Setlist today as a tribute.
Also included Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff" for Big Mike in Chesterton who's feeling a little angsty. Steve called in with a request for one of my favorite KISS songs "Cold Gin" and yes, I had to play the live version.
Ozzy, Linkin Park and Smashing Pumpkins rounding out the set today.
I'll need your help to build another one tomorrow.
