It's Friday!!! Are you ready for the weekend!
You delivered with the goods for an epic Friday Setlist. I had so many great requests, I couldn't fit them all in. I'll hold on to some of them for next week.
Sending good vibes to Dave Navarro. The Jane's Addiction guitarist has been dealing with long COVID since December... and he's STILL struggling with it. He just announced that he will have to sit out the upcoming Jane's Addiction tour with Smashing Pumpkins. Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age, A Perfect Circle) will be taking his place.
The good news is, Dave will be in LA working on new Jane's Addiction tunes (!) John in Des Plaines sugged "Been Caught Stealin'" for the Setlist today.
Rob from Crown Point called in and requests Tool's "Lateralus"! That's a great song for a Friday!
And Kevin from Lansing wanted to get geared up for the Five Finger Death Punch/Megadeth/The Hu show at Hollywood Casino Amphitheater tonight. He said he's excited to see The Hu (Mongolian throat metal). I saw them in a small performance space once. They're really good live so be sure you get there early to check them out.
I putting the new inflatable kayak in the Chicago River this weekend. Wish me luck!
