Happy Monday!!
I get it, Monday's are tough but music is very powerful and can help your day and even turn around your week.
July 25 is an amazing day for rock! So many big, important releases on this day and we hit a couple of them on the Setlist!
First of all, I was wrong. Doh! I always seem to lump "Paul Revere" from the Beastie Boys alongside "Hey Ladies" off of Paul's Boutique. It's not. It's on Licensed To Ill. My Bad. I wanted to highlight something from the sophomore album since it was released on this day in 1989. Oh well, I meant well.
Also released this day, AC/DC's seminal album Back In Black! What a beast of an album. Every song resonates! New singer stepping in weeks after Bon Scott dies, recorded in the Bahamas which were battered with storms. It's the right recipe! Added "Shoot To Thrill" from the album on the Setlist.
The one I didn't get on the Setlist was something from Metallica's Kill 'Em All, also released on this day in 1983!
Heard from Kevin who wanted Kiss "Heaven's On Fire" (it has been hot). And Brett called looking for "Bulls On Parade" by Rage Against The Machine!
Plus Lita Ford and Soundgarden. Nice work!
We'll build another Setlist tomorrow!
