I may have had tears of joy streaming down my face this morning. Last night at the Forum in LA, Foo Fighters played their make good show from earlier in the summer. As usual, they closed the set with "Everlong".
What was different is that Dave Grohl brought out a special guest, 11 year old drumming phenom Nandi Bushell.
Last year during the pandemic, Dave found himself in a drum challenge against Nandi, trading drum videos back and forth. Dave really challenged her having her play a Them Crooked Vultures song, she crushed it!
So last night was the first time they've met in person, Dave inviting her out to sit behind her own drum kit and launches into "Everlong". She doesn't miss a beat! She nails it! I figured Taylor would be supporting her on drums but nope, he's sitting out, watching this girl play a really hard song on the drums!
