It may have been the fact that it's been a year and a half since I've seen a live show... probably not. The Hella Mega tour delivered big time last night at Wrigley!!
The Hella Mega Tour with Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer was originally supposed to hit the road last summer but you know, a pandemic changed those plans.
So it might have been a year late but totally worth the wait. All three bands delivered headlining sets. 53 songs between all three bands and almost all of them were hits. I think there was only about 7 songs I didn't know all night.
Super impressed with the Fall Out Boy set. Pete's flame throwing bass (literally), Patrick's unbelievable bass... the whole band was on fire for the home town show!!
And of course, Green Day never disappoints. A rock solid set of hits!
The only bummer of the night was I didn't get in the stadium in time to hear The Interrupters, who are really great live.
Hopefully, we con continue to manage the pandemic and keep live shows on the calendar. I never realized how cathartic they are!
