The Top Albums Of 1991

In the fall of 1991, the powers of the universe converged to give us a huge seachange of the rock music landscape. In a matter of months, hair bands were out... grunge was in, and the sound of the 90s was cemented.

Today, I stumbled on a list that tries to put all the amazing albums released in 1991 in their place. No easy task with so many seminal albums. Here are the top 5:

  1. Nirvana - Nevermind
  2. Metallica - The Black Album
  3. Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger
  4. Guns N' Roses - Use Your Illusion I & II
  5. Pearl Jam - Ten

I mean, that's pretty stacked right there. Add in the Chili Peppers Blood Sugar Sex Magik and The Smashing Pumpkins debut Gish and you have one of the best crop of albums for the entire decade!!

You can check out the rest of the list HERE!

Oh, and not trying to make you feel old but... that was 30 years ago this year ;)
