Caleb Williams isn't here for the drama.
After excerpts from Seth Wickersham’s book claimed he and his dad tried to dodge the Bears before the draft, Caleb set the record straight.
In a press conference after OTAs, the Bears QB said, “I love being here.” He admitted to being unsure at first but Chicago hasn’t had a 4,000-yard passer... ever!
But his April 2024 visit changed everything.
His dad may have said, “Chicago is where QBs go to die,” but Caleb says, “He doesn’t speak for me.”
He also laughed off book claims about watching film alone, "It’s not that I didn’t know how,” he said. “I wanted to learn better.”
Now, new head coach Ben Johnson is focused and working closely with Williams.
