Buckle Up! Six Flags' Newest Coaster Will Flip You Five Times

Six Flags Great America may be closed for the season, but the hype is heating up! The park’s newest thrill ride, Wrath of Rakshasa, is making progress, with fresh track pieces—including the terrifying 171-foot drop—now arriving in Gurnee.

This beast of a dive coaster will send riders plummeting at a 96-degree angle, flipping them upside down five times (a new record!) at speeds up to 67 mph. Set to open in early summer 2025, it’ll be the park’s first new coaster since Maxx Force in 2019.
