RUSH Moving Pictures 40th Anniversary Box Set

It's over a year late, but it's here! The RUSH 40th Anniversary Moving Pictures Box Set.

We get 1 lp that is the original album on beautiful 180 gram black vinyl, and the rest of the discs are of a previously unreleased live convert from Toronto in 1981, recorded right after the release of this legendary album.

Tonight we played all of side 1 and then several select cuts and sides from the live albums.

Some argue that they do not like the live album, critiquing the poor guitar quality and poor eq on Geddy's vocal mic... which all is arguable true. However, this is a recording from back in 1981, when almost all live recordings SUCKED! They did. Usually, they were recorded with feeds direct from the mixing console, or hanging microphones, none of which usually lends itself to a quality recording. In this case, the drums and bass are actually outstanding, warm, and crisp, surprisingly good audio for a recording from that time period.

You can purchase just the original LP. I do recommend the LP Box set as described, and there is also a super mega cool deluxe box set which includes all of the LP's, CD's, more paper candy, and an interesting new surround mix on DVD.
