New Red Hot Chili Peppers on Capone's Vinyl Vault

Yesterday, the Red Hot Chili Peppers released Unlimited Love and I was fortunate enough to pre-order a copy early, and it arrived right on time for today's Vinyl Vault.

The first thing I noticed when dropping the needle down to test levels for the broadcast, is that the audio quality of this pressing is off the chart great. Seriously.. IT'S AMAZING! The noise floor is incredibly quiet and the mix itself is warm and present in the most authentic way. I highly recommend it.

Flea made a video to promote the release and mentioned that they really focused on getting the vinyl to sound as good as possible by going direct from the analog masters.

"For you audiophiles out there, the new RHCP record is mastered directly from the tape we recorded it on, no computers, no lame compression or limiters." - Flea

What you get is a fantastic sounding double album featuring 17 RCHP songs with all the energy and creativity you would expect as a result of their reuniting with John. The songs are all classic RCHP and run the complete gambit from slow pepper's ballad grooves to hard funk with screaming leads. Flea's bass is forward and clear throughout every recording. Anthony's vocals are spot on, and the whole band just sounds like they are firing on all cylinders. You will instantly know that these guys spent a lot of hard work and effort to make it sound right...and it shows.

A great mix of songs and incredibly clean warm tracks make the new Red Hot Chili Peppers album a worthy purchase.
