The UK version of a dollar store, hilariously called Poundland, is selling engagement rings for about $1. Obviously they don't accept american currency but you get the point. So, if you've been pushing him to propose, just consider that this could mean you get a $1 engagement ring. Not that anything's wrong with that if it's sentimental. My fiance originally proposed with a $100 engagement ring and I love it and wear it on my other hand (he upgraded me as soon as he could afford it). But if he's getting you a ring from the dollar store just to get the proposal out of the way... he ain't it.
