Review Of 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge'

Excited does not describe how I felt with the announcement of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge as a new game for 2022. So imagine how I felt when they actually announced the release date for last week.

June 16th was the longest day of work for me, knowing that once I got home I would be gaming for hours.

The game is amazing. It has all the great nostalgia of an arcade, side scrolling, beat 'em up. After I got through my initial phase of button mashing, I reminded myself that I am 35 and I don't need to do that any more.

I figured out some of the game mechanics, and began to play like an adult providing an even better experience.

Each character offers enough differences that you can find one that fits your playing style the best. Mickey is fast, Ralph is Strong, Donnie has Range, and Leo is balanced

Then there is the nostalgia. So many different elements bring out so many memories. From the soundtrack that is amazing, to the visuals, they all lead to a memory for the comics, cartoons, and previous video games.

I haven't played the multi-player function yet, but I know that will be just as good.

All in all, in fan of classic arcades will love this game. Best of all, you can save some money if you buy before June 22nd on Switch and PlayStation. $25 well worth in my opinion.
