I am Marris and I am pumped to be joining the Rock 95.5 team.
Growing up in what could be the smallest suburb in Chicago, Berkeley, it has always been in a dream to break the air waves. Which led me to get my start in rock radio in Peoria. Yes, Peoria is known for Big Al's and it is World Famous for a reason.
I cannot count all the shows and bands that I got to meet while working in Central Illinois. Somehow, it always led me back to Chicago. Between the United Center, the Tweeter Center, the Aragon Ballroom and so many more, I know we have enjoyed just a few shows together.
Don't judge me too much for this, but I am a die-hard Detroit Lions and Tigers fan. No one in my family knows why or how this happened. Even more confusing, I am a fan of every other Chicago team except the Bears, White Sox or Cubs. Again things I can't explain.
You will notice very quickly that I am a Huge fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I have a full sleeve featuring all 4 turtles and Splinter. And with out paying attention, I am regularly wearing a TMNT hat or t-shirt. I may be a little obsessed.
Most importantly I am looking forward to getting to know you Roadies. Sharing a beer, taking in a show, and talking about that one thing that connects, Rock 95.5.
