Sure, they absolutely disobeyed National Park rules and waded into the water. BUT it was to get photos of bears!! And for that the three men have been sentenced to a week in jail and $3k each in fines.
Maybe if bears didn't want to be photographed, they wouldn't look so cute and fluffy all the time. Maybe if bears didn't want to be photographed, they wouldn't have gone for a little swim and posed for photos with their fuzzy ears and smiling snouts.
