A homeowner in Poolesville, MD had snakes on his property. So he decided to try and smoke them out with hot coals aaaannnndddd burned his house down. On top of now being homeless, he only succeeded in killing one snake. Not an amazing win:loss ratio.
This would all be reasonable behavior if he were dealing with spiders. Next time, he should just invest in a pet Mongoose.
