She said it was a "private joke" and apologized. BBC news presenter Maryam Moshiri's director was counting down until the news segment went live and on "1" she gave the middle finger to the camera. Not knowing they were live, she essentially flipped the bird to all of their viewers. Quick to retract the finger when realizing they were live, she said "Live from London, this is BBC News."
