Talk about a badass adventure, how about taking a guided tour of the Tian Shan mountains in Kyrgyzstan and being part of an avalanche? Harry Shimmin's ears were on high alert when he heard the sound of "the sound of deep ice cracking behind me.” He happened to start filming when the snow, waaaayyy off in the distance, started barreling towards him.
He never stopped filming and seemed completely calm. WHAT? He said his plan was to take cover under some rocks that were behind him, thus being his only option. Wild to think upon hearing the thunderous sounds of cracking ice, it only took 45 seconds to get to him. And yeah, you'd be correct in thinking that if this was me, i'd be soiling my hiking suit. Check out the video and tell me if you'd attempt to run, I thought maybe that would be the smarter move but I mean, avalanche. Fast.
