The backdrop to the Olympic ski jump in Beijing appears to be big ass cooling towers for a nuclear power plant. Wild **** for sure! The town where this event is taking place is Shougang and is the former home to the largest steel and iron mills in China (closed down in 2008 and repurposed). Fun fact: The concrete silos have been transformed into office space, tourist attractions and hip places to eat.
