So I saw this earlier today and it was a Saturday wtf moment. I mean we all know bands write/produce songs they stash away for future projects, but why's Johns saying some of the best songs the guys wrote for Unlimited Love didn't show up on the new project?!!
In an interview just put out in the latest issue of Total Guitar, Frusciante says the band produced 48 tracks and as he put it, "I definitely feel like we saved a lot of some of the best stuff for the potential next album, so I'm excited about putting that into a shape.”
He added, "For Stadium Arcadium, we wrote 33 songs or something like that. So it was quite a bit more than we’d ever done before.”
That's cool as hell but I have to go back to why tell the world y'all are holding back some gems? Maybe we'll get some of that extra at Soldier Field this summer?!
