1775 - George Washington was unanimously chosen by Congress to be the first commander-in-chief of the new U.S. Army.

1995, at the O.J. Simpson Murder Trial, O.J "struggled" to put on a pair of gloves that prosecutors said were worn by Nicole Simpson's and Ron Goldman's killer.
