About 10 years ago Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross started to basically swerve into scoring Hollywood films and earlier today they got even more recognition with Oscar nominations for their work scoring both Soul (alongside Late Show bandleader Jon Batiste). and Mank.
The pair made a great first impression with the Hollywood sect having taken home the trophy for scoring The Social Network and Trent recently shared about his work on Soul, "This is the first work of art I’ve ever made that I can show to my kids.”
Soul is the reported frontrunner, and here is the list of nominations:
