Angi Taylor Show Recap with Jay the Gay - 11-6-2020

(please note, this is a general overview of what I intended to discuss, we usually go off the rails within 5 seconds.)

After what seemed like a week that was never going to end, it is finally Friday. All of us here are in a celebratory mood right now. I'm wearing my Jack Daniels shirt, Angi is drinking out of her Jack Daniels coffee mug and Abe is drinking out of his Jack Daniels water bottle, which is ironically shaped like an actual bottle of Jack Daniels. So let's kick things off and get to these notes.

Josh and Steve from Buckcherry checked in to promote an upcoming live virtual show on the 11th (next Wednesday) filmed at a drive in. Here's a couple of the highlight bits from the interview: Steve from the band was born in Chicago. In turn, playing in Chicago always has a special feeling. Abe referred to them as brave because they were putting out albums in 1999 that no one else was. There was a discussion about how Buckcherry doesn't fit in a genre. A quick mention was made of the AC/DC interview (which you can also find here on the website. How being off the road feels. They've recorded two albums worth of music and have trimmed it down to 10 songs that may make an upcoming album. Abe asked if Angi could do background vocals to "Lit Up" eventually when live shows return. "I love the cocaine" indeed!

It's time again for the Best Bet of the Week, where Abe Kanan aka the Friday Morning Messiah, will once more lead us to the land of money and honey. That's right, sell your free chainsaw, spend the money you intended to have Thanksgiving Dinner with (no one is coming over anyway.) Make your roommate work overtime during the pandemic! You want that massive stack of free paper, then take the Colts +1 1/2 against the Ravens (sidenote: if you can get +2, take the 2.) Remember, as Abe told us, it has to hurt to feel so good.

A top 10 list of the best Christmas movies of all time caused all sorts of groans and disgust this morning. The list, compiled by USA Today invoked Abe to threaten to never read it again (even though he didn't in the first place.) So, what are they, counting backwards it goes:A Christmas Story,A Christmas Carol,The Apartment(no one seems to know what this is,)Die Hard,National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation,Miracle on 34th Street,Love Actually,Elf,It's a Wonderful LifeandScrooged. Might I addAnna and the Apocalypse, a wonderful movie that is a musical set at Christmas time that involves people being eaten by zombies, it's magical.

Other Topics:

Covid dreams are becoming increasingly common and apparently, celebrity dreams are taking over Abe's life. Days after dreaming that Brock Lesnar tried to rape him, last night Abe dreamnt that Rick fromPawn Starsbought the Rams and Abe was excited to get on the radio to talk about it.

A question of what the greatest video game ever was posed after Nintendo, due to Mario and Luigi turning 35, have decided to partner with Amazon to create Super Mario themed Amazon boxes for all their deliveries. Great, more incentive for people to steal your package now because they are going to think it's something like a Switch, which ironically Abe sold a few weeks back because he realized it had no purpose. Btw, my two cents on the greatest game ever, obviously it'sFinal Fantasy 7.

Drama came home to roost when Jay the Straight unfollowed one Angi's boss on Twitter because the boss didn't follow him back. It became such a big to do that Angi's husband and her boss are now beefing apparently. Angi, being the smart and beautiful woman that she is, demanded that Jay the Straight refollow the boss back and see if a follow back finally comes. Take note, this is what happens when you're married and locked in quarantine.

Angi posed a questionnaire to Abe on if he fits a criteria to know if he's found the one. Does everything feel new and different? Is she a mind reader? Do you do anything to spend time with that person? Are you cool with compromise? Do you think about the future? Are you comfortable around her friends and family? Do her flaws not matter to you? Are you sexually compatible? After rigorous discussion, Angi decided Abe has found the one and implored him yet again to get married. Of course, Abe followed up with "Is Jay the Straight still hitting that on the regular?" Take a look at all that hot ass woman, of course the answer is yes.

Angi asked Abe if there was any band that could be brought back together that isn't together. Abe chose Led Zeppelin but since that's not happening the consolation prize is Creed. After all, it is 2020 and this is exactly what we deserve so. With that addressed, Abe spilled so inside tea that the band had intended to reunite sooner but covid kind of killed that. Oh look, covid finally did something good for once.
