Former MLB Pitcher Dan Serafini Convicted of Murder
Former Cubs pitcher Dan Serafini has been convicted of murder in the 2021 shooting of his wife’s parents near Lake Tahoe. The Placer County jury says Serafini plotted the hit, hated his wealthy in-laws, and even offered $20K to have them killed, per AP NEWS.
His father-in-law was killed. His mother-in-law survived, but died a year later.
Dan's defense said the masked shooter didn’t match his build and argued, "Why kill the golden goose?"
The jury didn’t buy it. Dan now faces life without parole.
