So, uh... is there any new rock this week. Umm.. YEAH!! We have brand new LINKIN PARK!

LInkin Park returns after 7 years following the death of singer Chester Bennington, and they came out swinging! Performing a live show introducing new singer Emily Armstrong, formally of the band Dead Sara. They announced a new album on the way called From Zero and a tour which starts Wednesday in LA! I played the new song for you as well as something from Dead Sara so you could get an idea of what Emily can do! Super excited about this project!

We also have a new #1 song at rock this week! The Offspring is not only on top of the Rock chart but also number 1 on the Alternative chart! Congrats! "Make It All Right" is the first single off the forthcoming album Supercharger which is due October 11th!

Eddie Vedder told a bunch of stories during Pearl Jam's 2 nights at Wrigley last month, explaining that they were lucky enough to get a chance to record with Stevie WOnder. THey went to the studio and ended up having to wait for many hours until Stevie was able to show up. The band made the most of their time waiting and wrote a new song called "Waiting For Stevie". I fit that into the playlist this week.

New Pumpkins, Myles Kennedy, Jerry Cantrell and the ubiquitous Jellyroll!

Check out the playlist below. Set a reminder for another hour of New Noise Sunday night at 9!
