Should Pregnant Mom Pick Up Popcorn Mess Her Kids Made On United Flight?

True or false? If you make a mess, you should clean it up. How about if your mess was made on an airplane by your kids? I don't really care who made the mess but will tell you Toronto Blue Jays' pitcher Anthony Bass' pregnant wife and their two kids had a popcorn party recently on a United flight. Ok it wasn't a popcorn party, but her kids were snacking on popcorn mid-flight and spilled popcorn under and around the seat on the plane. The United flight attendant apparently told her to clean up the mess. Social media exploded when this story broke b/c as a 22-week pregnant woman, she shouldn't have to clean up after her kids.

What is your take? Should passengers like you and me be told to clean up our own mess OR does that fall on the airline staff? I think the answer, to a certain extent, should be YES! If you make a mess, clean it up. Not a huge deal and certainly not something that needs to be blown out of proportion. That being said, I do think that the flight attendant could have been more helpful or aligned herself with the pregnant passenger and offered to help her with the clean up.
