New Noise - 2.12.23

It's been a long time since I said the words... here's new music from Linkin Park. And to be fair, this song isn't exactly new. It's just new to us. But man, it sounds so good. Very familiar and comforting... like an old sweater.

I kicked off this week's hour of new music with the just released song from Linkin Park, originally recorded for the Meteora album. When putting the album together, the band felt they already had this sound covered with the song "Numb" so they left "Lost" off the record... and forgot about it. Until now! It'll be on the upcoming 20th anniversary edition of Meteora which is due out on April 7th.

Alter Bridge and Mammoth WVH are coming to town on Saturday and I wanted to get your ready for that show at the Riv with a song from each band.

I also played another song off of Ozzy's Patient Number 9 album. Another track featuring the late Jeff Beck on guitar.

Metallica's "Lux Aeterna" is still number 1 at Rock radio so so it's still on the playlist! Get used to it, it'll be around for a while!

And turned you on to the new one from the Mongolian throat metal band The Hu teaming up with William Duvall from Alice In Chains for a reworking of "This Is Mongol". Some great rock riffs in that one!

Hopefully I turned you on to something new. I'll put together another hour of new rock Sunday night at 9!
