A couple has gone viral for their $500 wedding, and normally I'd be like hell yeah. I live that cheap life. Half the reason I haven't bothered with a wedding is because I can't justify the cost. BUT they made their guests pay for their own food and drinks.
That's... not really having a wedding, then. That's just spending $500 on decorations and having your friends basically go to a restaurant with you.
Look, do your wedding however you want. It's your day. But don't ask guests to travel, dress a certain way, sit through your weird vows, and ALSO pay for food and drinks. Just, like, wait to have a wedding. There's no rush. You have your whole lives.
