What is Aphasia?

Bruce Willis announced he was stepping away from acting due to an aphasia diagnosis. Other than bummed out, many of us were also left with a new vocabulary word. So what is aphasia?

Basically, aphasia is a condition where you lose the ability to communicate. It's usually caused by a stroke or some other form of neurological injury. In its worst state, those with the disorder cannot speak, read, or write and will point to pictures to communicate, however there are various types and severities. Some use made up words and so their sentences are hard to follow. Some leave words out of their sentences. If you'd like to really dive in, have at it.

There's no joke here. We love Bruce and wish him all the best.
