Allegedly. Permanent bracelets are ALLEGEDLY a thing, but I'm not convinced this isn't another one of those instances where a couple people do something ridiculous and then the news is like IT'S A TREND. Like that time they said millennials were embedding diamonds into their fingers instead of getting engagement rings. You know, like all of the people you know in real life that did that. ANYWAY
A permanent bracelet is exactly what it sounds like. They make them using gold so they won't go off in a metal detector, and if you need an MRI they CAN be cut with special scissors.
But permanent bracelet? That's called a shackle.
