Happy Wednesday!
Nice to build a Setlist when you can roll down the windows and really crank it up!
we have a new feature on the iHeart app called Talkback. It's a easy way for you to send a quick voice message to me. I got one today from Canada, eh. Not sure if I believe it, but it was a good song suggestion for "Black Betty" from Ram Jam (who are actually from New York City).
Sam in Valpo was looking for some old school Metallica. Monday marked the 40th anniversary of their very first live show at California's Radio City in Anaheim. The band posted a flyer from that show along with the setlist! They opened the set with "Hit The Lights" so what better song to toss on the Setlist!
Added Motley Crue for Pete! Hoping we see Tommy Lee's Drumcoaster at Wrigley in July!
And today marks the anniversary of Andrew Wood's death. Who's Andrew Wood? He was the lead singer of the seattle grunge band Mother Love Bone. They were connected to everyone in the scene. And sadly, he passed away from a heroin overdose. So the rest of the band picked up the pieces and started a new band, which today we know as Pearl Jam.
Obviously an important building block for the sound of the 90s. Wrapped up the Setlist with "Crown of Thorns" from Mother Love Bone!
Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day! Let's load the Setlist with your favorite Irish bands!
