Thailand has some pretty insane defamation laws. Laws which one hotel is trying to exploit. After her stay there, a woman left them a 6/10 review saying it was "too expensive," not clean, and asking them to improve their standards. The hotel called her and told her they would sue her for $90k in damages and an additional $1500 for every day the review stayed up.
Wait a minute, you can SUE for that?? People have been rating me a 6/10, unclean, with low standards my entire life, and I haven't been charging anyone. Missed opportunity.
