ABSOLUTELY NOT. I may get some push back for this but: this is incredibly inappropriate and predatory. A 40 year old man should have nothing to do romantically with a college freshman (unless it's the off-chance that she's going back to school and is a much older freshman). This isn't the movies. He's posting on Craigslist so odds are he's not a billionaire (which also wouldn't be ok, but would at least provide an explanation).
Most likely, she's 18-19 years old. Too young to really be in tune with all the red flags. And he knows that.
Dude. Stay away from her. Try someone your own age where there isn't a power dynamic issue.
