The Chicago Department of Aviation has announced Covid vaccine will be available for workers at Midway and O’Hare. Up to 500 vaccinations, EACH DAY will also go to CTA, Metra and PACE workers, taxi drivers, plus Uber and Lyft are also eligible.
Airport security personnel have been prioritized then followed by workers who have direct contact with passengers, including flight crews, bus drivers, and taxi/rideshare drivers.
“These vaccines provide a source of optimism for a return to normal operations as we continue working to keep Chicago connected to the world throughout this pandemic,” Aviation Commissioner Jamie Rhee said in a statement.
