We knew Eddie Vedder was a vocal powerhouse just by trying to sing along to Pearl Jam songs, but damn. The breath support he puts behind those notes! You can hear him giving absolutely every ounce of himself every time he sings a phrase.
You never really realize just how long he hold "todayyyyyyyyyyy" until you hear it without the instrumentals. Those falsetto "ooh"s and the stylized growling on the other hand are just pure comedy taken out of context. And for that, we thank you Edward Vedder. May you keep belting (and making us out of breath just trying to keep up) for many years to come.
