If you answered "a nice selection of electric guitars!", you would have only been partially correct.
All of those people, and so many more, have all had their likeness recreated into a fully functioning badass marionette by Darren Moreash of Darrionetes. BTW.. A marionette is a puppet that basically hangs from strings. These were very popular back in the day, and were even used to create children's tv shows like Stingray.
Darren is obviously very skilled at his art, and I have to admit the results are super impressive. As you can see, he has made these manipulated recreations of some very popular musicians, and based on the photos available on his Facebook page, it does seem like the artists really dig his work.
The good news is that you can purchase these for yourself. I'm not sure what they cost, you will need to email Darren to find out, but the price is worth it.. especially if you want to tell the truth and say to your friends.. "Ya know, James Hetfield is hanging around my house all the time these days". (insert sad trombone sound here)
